Vietnam, Indonesia enhance cooperative relations

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnamese Ambassador to Indonesia Pham Vinh Quang on Monday paid a courtesy visit to Vice President Jusuf Kalla, who underlined the need for extra efforts to deepen cooperation between the two countries.

Mr. Quang congratulated Indonesia on its successful organization of many recent international events, including the 2018 Asian Games (ASIAD 18), the Asian Para Games, the ASEAN Leaders’ Gathering, and the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank (WB). The success of these events has improved Indonesia’s image in the region and the world, Quang said. He expressed his sympathy for the recent Lion Air plane crash and recent earthquakes in Lombok and Sulawesi.

Mr. Jusuf Kalla praised the Vietnam-Indonesia friendship and close cooperation over the past 60 years and said Indonesia will continue to cooperate with Vietnam.
