Vietnam is EU's sustainable development partner in Southeast Asia, Belgian press says

Belgium’s European politics page EU Today carried an article titled ‘Strengthening relationships with ASEAN countries: an EU strategic priority’, emphasizing the position and role of ASEAN, including Vietnam, in the EU's regional policy re-planning in order to stabilize the economy and maintain Europe's international position. The article points out areas of cooperation that need to be promoted, especially economy, trade and security policy.

The EU Today said Vietnam's economy is currently an important link in the supply chain and economic value of the ASEAN region with such advantages as stable macro environment, a dynamic economy, expanding consumption market, stable  political situation, and the consistency of economic development and foreign investment attraction policies.

The Brussels Times wrote in its Monday article, titled ‘Vietnam – A sustained development partner and destination of foreign investment for EU in Southeast Asia’, that EU regional partners, such as Vietnam have great potential to promote stronger.

According to the Belgian press, the official visit to Belgium by Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh this week with meaningful activities will certainly be a new milestone and a motivation to elevate bilateral relations to new heights.
