Vietnam, Japan boost air defense ties

(VOVworld)- Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, Sen. Lieut. Gen. Do Ba Ty said Vietnam-Japan defense relations have taken important steps in air and naval operations, staff training, and information sharing in the past few years, helping their bilateral friendship and cooperation to flourish. At a meeting with the Chief of Staff of Japan’s Air Defense Force General Haruhiko Kataoka in Hanoi, Ty praised the outcomes of a working session between the visiting General and the Vietnam People’s Air Defence Force and Air Force. General Kataoka said the air defence forces of Vietnam and Japan should broaden cooperation in the areas of flight safety, aviation medicine, and disaster relief and step up experience and delegation exchanges.
