Vietnam, Luxembourg aim to elevate relations to new heights

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam wants to further strengthen cooperation with Luxembourg in a practical and effective manner, particularly in the development of an international financial center, green finance, renewable energy, and high technology.

Speaking at a meeting with Luxembourg’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Xavier Bettel on Friday, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh urged the two sides to increase high-level delegation exchanges and called on Luxembourg to support Vietnam in urging the European Commission (EC) to lift the IUU "yellow card" on Vietnamese seafood exports.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Xavier Bettel expressed his hope to elevate the Vietnam-Luxembourg relations to new heights. He praised Vietnam’s initiative to establish an international financial center, saying Luxembourg is ready to send experts and provide training support to Vietnam, particularly in green finance and renewable energy.

The same day, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh met with Vice President of the Luxembourg Parliament Fernand Etgen and Finance Minister Gilles Roth, and visited the Luxembourg Stock Exchange.
