Vietnam makes recommendations to the UNHR Council

(VOVworld) – The UN Human Rights Council discussed civil, political, economic, social, and development rights during its 26th session on June 11-13.

The Vietnamese delegations actively got involved in discussions. Vietnamese delegates made presentations affirming Vietnam’s unswerving policies of protecting and promoting human rights and introducing Vietnam’s achievements in human rights, especially social groups who need special protection. The Vietnamese delegation pledged to fulfill its commitments and proposed many ideas on human rights protection and promotion.

In the coming session on June 16-20, the UNHR will discuss issues relating to women, children, people with disability, and educational rights. The Council will examine human rights situation in Belarus, Syria, and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.
