(VOVworld) – The People’s Army newspaper held a workshop on Tuesday on 70 years of Uncle Ho’s soldiers on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army, December 22.

According to presentations made at the event, the Vietnam People’s Army has earned the trust of the Party and the people. Dr. Nguyen Viet Thao, Deputy Head of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Public Administration, said: “The Vietnam People’s Army needs to promote its vanguard role in communicating politics and Vietnam’s renewal process. It is essential to expand education on politics, the Marxist and Leninist ideology, and Ho Chi Minh’s thought not only among the armed forces but in the whole society. The Vietnam People’s Army - Uncle Ho’s soldiers - should increase their involvement in Vietnam’s social, cultural and spiritual life”.

Over the past 70 years, the Vietnam’s People’s Army has fulfilled its assigned tasks and gained triumphant victories in struggles for national independence and unification.
