Vietnam pledges continued contribution to a fast-growing, sustainable ASEAN
(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has reiterated that Vietnam will continue to pursue a foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, diversification, and multilateralization; being a good friend and reliable partner to all countries; and a responsible member of the international community, working toward peace, cooperation, and development in the region and the world.

Prime Minister Chinh was speaking on the occasion of the 58th anniversary of the founding of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) (August 8, 1967 – August 8, 2025) and the 30th anniversary of Vietnam’s membership.
He pledged that Vietnam will continue to make every effort to build a united ASEAN with consensus in diversity, and to promote its fast and sustainable growth based on science, technology, and innovation.
