Vietnam pledges utmost efforts as host of the opening for signature of UN cybercrime convention
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam will exert its utmost efforts to guarantee safety and ensure a professionally organized opening ceremony for the signing of the United Nations Convention Against Cybercrime, a senior official said on Wednesday.

Deputy Minister of Public Security and Head of the Organizing Committee Senior Lieutenant General Pham The Tung addressed a conference on the preparations for the ceremony in Hanoi.
“This is an extremely important event, affirming Vietnam’s credibility and position in the international arena. This year, Vietnam will host many major political events. So, the better we prepare, the more effective and secure the outcomes will be,” Tung said.
Deputy Minister Tung requested members of the Organizing Committee to make the best preparations to ensure the ceremony’s overall success and promote the image of a friendly and hospitable Vietnam.
