(VOVworld) – ASEAN Ambassadors to Argentina pledged to enhance bilateral cooperation at a meeting in Buenos Aires on Monday to review ASEAN activities in 2016.

They hailed Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Dinh Thao, who was the ASEAN chair in Argentina last year, for his efforts to foster links within ASEAN and relations between ASEAN and Argentina. The Vietnamese Embassy hosted activities to promote ASEAN’s role and economic, trade, and tourism potential in Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay.

On the occasion, Thao handed over the ASEAN Chairmanship in Argentina to Thai Ambassador Narisroj Fuangrabil.

5 ASEAN nations have embassies in Argentina. They are Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines.
