Vietnam promotes Halal product exports to Turkey
(VOVWORLD) - Experts have suggested that a mechanism for mutual recognition between the Halal certification bodies of Vietnam and Turkey be established and training courses and experience-sharing sessions on international Halal standards be organized for businesses and cooperatives.
The proposal was put forth at a seminar on Halal industry cooperation between Vietnam and Turkey which drew representatives from government agencies and business communities in both countries.
The event was organized by Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency in coordination with the Vietnamese Embassy in Turkey and the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey.
The Vietnamese Government has implemented programs to help enterprises improve production capacity, quality standards, and Halal certification, and has cooperated with international organizations to facilitate the entry of Vietnamese goods into Muslim markets, according to the seminar.
Vietnam is developing a comprehensive Halal ecosystem to serve Muslim countries and position itself as a regional hub for Halal production, processing, and services for Southeast Asia.
