About 960,000 people in Vietnam have received COVID-19 vaccine. Nearly 1.7 million doses of AstraZenceca COVID-19 vaccine will arrive in Vietnam on Sunday, which is supplied by the COVAX Facility via the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF).

The Health Ministry said COVAX Facility has committed 110 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine provided for Vietnam this year. The ministry has also registered to buy about 10 million additional doses through COVAX under the cost-sharing scheme to enjoy lower prices.
