Vietnam sees new COVID cases drop on Friday
(VOVWORLD) - The Ministry of Health said that Vietnam on Friday confirmed 163,174 new cases of COVID-19 in 62 provinces and cities, down more than 10,000 cases compared to Thursday. 175,971 recoveries were announced, but 57 patients died during the day.

As of Friday, Vietnam administered more than 201.4 million doses of COVID vaccine. The Ministry of Health continues to coordinate with localities to speed up vaccination so that all eligible people aged 18 and older will get the 3rd shot by the end of the first quarter. Injections for children aged 5-11 are being prepared.
47 out of 63 provinces and cities have achieved over 2nd dose vaccination coverage of 95%. The remaining 16 provinces and cities have reached the 2nd dose vaccine coverage rate 90% to 95%.
