Vietnam sends condolences to Sri Lanka for bomb blasts

(VOVWORLD) - Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong on Sunday sent a message of condolence to the Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena over the bomb blasts in Sri Lanka on Sunday which killed at least 290 people and wounded nearly 500.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan also extended condolences to their Sri Lankan counterparts.

No Vietnamese citizens have been reported among the victims, according to the Vietnam Embassy in Sri Lanka.
