Vietnam, South Korea hold cultural exchanges

(VOVworld) – The Korea Culture Centre and the Korea Culture and Content Agency have opened an exhibition of Korean cartoon characters and comics. The center’s director Park Nark Jong said at the opening ceremony on Sunday that the event will facilitate a closer connection between the two countries in cartoon and comic sectors. 100 Vietnamese and Korean children watched cartoons and talked with several well-known Korean comic artists.

The same day, the Association of People loving Vietnam in South Korea and Youngsan University jointly held a speaking competition themed “The role of Vietnam and South Korea in world peace”. 13 students representing 3 large local universities delivered speeches in Vietnamese and Korean. Vietnamese Ambassador to South Korea Tran Trong Toan, in his opening address, said the contest created an opportunity for students of both countries to improve their friendship and learn more about each country’s culture, land, and people. The experience will prepare them for living and working in Vietnam or South Korea.
