(VOVWORLD) -The Vietnamese Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village will host a vibrant series of activities from February 1 to 28 to celebrate the Lunar New Year 2025.
The event, titled “Colors of Spring Across the Homeland,” will bring together more than 100 participants representing 16 ethnic groups from across Vietnam. The highlights of the event will be a cultural exchange program, during which ethnic people join together to enjoy the Lunar New Year through songs, traditional games, and other cultural festivities. Besides, the village also introduces folk games, traditional music instruments, and folk sports of different ethnic groups, while organizing art exchanges to enrich visitors’ experiences.
A representative of the Vietnamese Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village's management board said the event reflects the government’s attention to ethnic communities and honoring their cultural heritages. It aims to preserve and promote Vietnam's diverse cultural values, fostering national unity and solidarity among all ethnic groups. These activities provide both domestic and international visitors with a unique opportunity to experience the rituals, festivals, and customs of Vietnam’s ethnic groups. This initiative helps preserve and promote traditional cultural values and also strengthens exchanges and solidarity, encouraging mutual support and development.
During the 2025 Lunar New Year holiday, Hanoi is expected to attract a large number of locals and visitors. The Hanoi Department of Tourism has recently announced a series of exciting and quality tourism products for the Tet holiday. Many vibrant and captivating cultural and artistic activities will take place, including the "Radiant Thang Long 2025" art program at the My Dinh National Stadium, with a highlight being a record-breaking drone light show; and the "Welcome 2025" art performance.
Localities are also preparing to organize large-scale festivals including the 236th anniversary of the Ngoc Hoi - Dong Da victory festival (5th day of the 1st month), the Huong Pagoda Festival, the Soc Temple Festival, the Co Loa Festival, the Hai Ba Trung Temple Festival, among others.
The Da Nang Spring Flower Market has opened along the streets around the Tien Son Sports Center in Hai Chau district.
