Vietnamese expats in Russia get support amid COVID-19 concerns

(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnamese Embassy in Russia will support Vietnamese expats living there during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Nguyen Quynh Mai, counsellor and chargé d'affaires at the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia, who is also head of the Embassy’s COVID-19 response group, told VOV: “The Embassy’s COVID-19 response group has made plans for possible complications caused by the coronavirus in Russia. Vietnamese people here will be divided into 3 groups to receive appropriate responsive measures as things get worse: members of representative offices and their families, students living abroad, and the rest of the Vietnamese community. The Embassy is working closely with local organizations and authorities to provide proper care for overseas Vietnamese in Russia.”  

Russia has banned the entry of all foreign nationals in the wake of novel coronavirus outbreak.
