(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met with King Norodom Sihamoni of Cambodia on Thursday.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Chinh reiterated Vietnam's commitment to strengthening solidarity and enhancing comprehensive cooperation with Cambodia.
He said Vietnam prioritizes fostering deeper and broader ties between the two nations to meet the aspirations of their people. The Prime Minister also expressed Vietnam’s readiness to share experiences and support Cambodia in successfully hosting the 20th Francophone Summit in 2026.
King Norodom Sihamoni praised Vietnam's achievements, noting they serve as an inspiration for Cambodia’s national development efforts.
He underscored the importance of the traditional Cambodia-Vietnam relationship, pledged to support cooperative activities between the two governments, and expressed confidence in the continued growth and effectiveness of bilateral ties.

Earlier in the day, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man met with King Sihamoni during the King's state visit to Vietnam.
Chairman Man extended congratulations on the Cambodian King’s productive meetings with General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong, and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh. He emphasized that this visit would further deepen the good neighborly friendship, traditional ties, and comprehensive, long-lasting cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia.
King Sihamoni described his visit as historic, aimed at reinforcing the robust bilateral relationship and ensuring long-term stability and solidarity. He commended Vietnam’s remarkable achievements, as well as its growing international prestige and influence.
