Vietnamese pupils excel at 2024 Physics Olympiad with 5 medals

Gold medalists are Than The Cong and Truong Phi Hung, grade-12 pupils of Bac Giang High School for the Gifted (Bac Giang province).

Silver medalists are Nguyen Nhat Minh, 12th grader of High School for the Gifted of the University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University Hano, 12th grader Ha Duyen Phuc of Lam Son High School for the Gifted in Thanh Hoa province, and 12th grader Nguyen Thanh Duy of Tran Phu High School for the Gifted in Hai Phong city.

The 54th International Physics Olympiad took place in Iran from July 21 to July 29. According to the IPhO 2024 regulations, the competition consisted of a theoretical exam and an experimental exam, each lasting 5 hours.

With a 100% of the participating pupils winning medals, the Vietnamese team ranked among the top-performing countries at the 2024 International Physics Olympiad. The practical exam scores of the Vietnamese pupils have significantly improved compared to previous competitions.
