(VOVworld) – Since 2006 South Korea’s Chonbuk National University has cooperated with the Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy to perform scores of free surgeries for children with harelips and cleft palates, said Dr. Cao Ngoc Thanh, head of the Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy, at a celebration of 10 years of cooperation between the two universities.
The relationship was reinforced by a memorandum of understanding on staff training signed in 2009. Chonbuk National University will help Vietnam build a speech and language therapy centre for cleft-palate children using investment capital from the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).
