Vietnamese, Thai Prime Ministers visit exhibition of handicraft items

(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra, who is on an official visit to Vietnam, visited the exhibition of Vietnamese handicraft products on Thursday at the Government Headquarters in Hanoi.

The two leaders learned about the craft of making To he, a traditional toy for children in Vietnam which is made from glutinous rice powder; conical hats made in Chuong Village; bamboo and rattan weaving; the craft of ceramics, embroidery, Dinh Cong silversmithing, Dong Ho folk paintings, and lacquer art.

Artisans from traditional craft villages presented the Thai Prime Minister with some souvenirs, including a conical hat from Chuong Village and embroidered scarves.

On display are photos of the country, people and the relationship between Vietnam and Thailand. In particular, the exhibited photos captured the flourishing relationship between the two countries from their diplomatic relations established on August 6, 1976, to the "Enhanced Strategic Partnership" established in 2015 and today.
