Like other sports events, there was the performance of the host country's national anthem, the oath-taking of referees and robot athletes.

After the lighting ceremony of the smart device "Smart Core" instead of the torch commonly seen at human sports events, robots showcased soccer, boxing, 100m running, acrobatics, and gymnastics. Robots also modeled clothing alongside human models. 

280 teams from 16 countries, including host China, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Japan, Germany, Netherlands, Australia, and Mexico, are taking part in the Games. In three days, more than 500 humanoid robots of 127 brands will compete in 26 events like distance running, high jump, gymnastics, freestyle combat, and fully automatic 3v3 and 5v5 humanoid robot soccer.

The Games’ ticket prices range from 180 to 580 yuan (25-80 USD) for the opening and closing ceremonies; 128-428 yuan (18-60 USD) for matches.
