The event, part of the 9th China–South Asia Expo and the 29th Kunming Import and Export Fair, celebrates the 75th anniversary of Vietnam–China diplomatic ties (1950–2025) and the Vietnam–China Humanistic Year.
In his opening remarks, Feng Junyang, Deputy Head of the Communication Department of the Yunnan Provincial Party Committee, recalled that during his state visit to Vietnam in April, Chinese Party General Secretary and President Xi Jinping announced China would invite young Vietnamese to join the “Red Journey” program over the next three years.
“By combining the rich historical and cultural legacies of Yunnan and Vietnam, and through mutual visits and exchanges, we will build a cross-border bridge for youth from both countries—contributing to the building of a Vietnam–China community with a shared future,” said Feng.
