On the 79th anniversary of the first overseas broadcast, VOVWorld (VOV5) has received a lot of wishes from listeners which are a great source of encouragement for VOV’s leaders and broadcasters.

“Congratulations on VOV's 79th anniversary. Your programs connect Vietnam with friends around the world, including Indonesia, helping them to better understand Vietnam."

“I’m Rudy Hartono. On behalf of Borneo Listeners’ Club, I’d like to send you congratulation from Indonesia on the occasion of VOV’s 79th anniversary. Your presence has brightened the world and tightened friendship with listeners around the world.”

Listener Attapon Ruong Sirichok of Udonthani, Thailand, said: “Despite many stations broadcasting in Thai around the world, I remain loyal to VOV because of its credible news, especially about Vietnam. Listening to VOV over the last 30 years, I see that the station has a lot of innovations. 30 years ago, when I started listening, the program was only broadcast on shortwave. There was no streaming on the website. Since the programs are available on the internet, listening to VOV has been more convenient. It was an interesting change. Overall, VOV’s Thai program has improved with more attractive content and worth listening to. Congratulations.”

Listener Rudy Hartono, President of Borneo Listeners Club, Indonesia later said:

“VOV has consistently evolved to offer updated information on Vietnam’s politics, culture, and society. My favorite segment is the 'Letter Box,' where listeners’ letters are discussed along with current events in Vietnam. Other features are equally interesting and informative. During the past 79 years, VOV has broadcast useful information and fostered love of listeners all over the world. Through VOV, listeners feel the warmth of friendship.”

Another Indonesian listener Eko shared his view: “I am very happy to hear VOV on multiple platforms. VOV has created a close relationship among listeners around the world, including Indonesian listeners. VOV's high-quality broadcasts have brought useful information to listeners and engaged listeners on multiple platforms such as fanpage and website. My favorite feature is the “Village Life” which tells unique stories of Vietnamese society.”

These messages are just a few of the hundreds received by VOVWorld every week. Such affection serves as a testament to the dedication of VOV’s reporters and broadcasters. Ding Lu, a listener from China, said, "I deeply appreciate your commitment to your audience. I believe VOV is the most listener-friendly international station in the world. With such excellent staff, VOV will continue to grow stronger. Once again, congratulation to VOV’s 79th birthday!”
