(VOVworld) - Vietnam’s Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Nguyen Minh Quang on Friday began an online dialogue with the public via the Vietnam Government Portal, focusing on such issues as land, minerals and climate change. The Prime Minister recently asked ministers to host more online dialogues with the public to help people better understand Party and State orientations and policies. Mr. Quang said in the future, Vietnam should improve land allocation and regional links to create a better master plan for using land effectively and economically. Regarding the question of illegal mining, Minister Quang said the ministry has submitted to the Government a policy on the management of each type of mineral and tougher mining regulations will be issued. Deputy Minister Bui Cach Tuyen talked to us about water sources which are extremely polluted 'Activities in industrial zones should be monitored by camera systems from which data will be collected to send to the Hanoi-based Environment General Department.  If this can be done, environmental pollution will be greatly reduced. In the future, we’ll install automatic monitoring systems to check the treatment of all kinds of wastes. The Ministry will be active in coordinating with provinces to fine any industrial zones that cause contamination and damage people’s lives'.
