Localities ensures quarantine measures for Covid-19

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnamese localities are stepping up preventive measures against Covid-19, the official name for the disease caused by the new coronavirus.

Binh Dinh province will quarantine 1,260 people returning from China via Phu Cat Airport or Quy Nhon Port. The Command of the Binh Dinh provincial Border Guard is distributing information about Covid-19 to soldiers, local residents, and travellers.
1,400 workers soon returning to Vietnam’s Ha Giang province will be tested and isolated for 14 days. Quarantine areas and medical equipment have been prepared under instructions from the Ministry of Health.
At a meeting to plan measures against Covid-19 on Tuesday, Chairman of Vung Tau People’s Committee Nguyen Van Tho said local authorities should make antivirus efforts a high priority, especially processing people returning from infected areas.
Deputy Director of the Tuyen Quang Department of Health said the provincial authority is increasing its management of Chinese people coming in and out the province. Medical equipment and preventive measures are in place to combat the virus.
