At the meeting, Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh said more than 3,800 km of expressways will have been completed by the end of this year as scheduled. By December 19, nearly 3,200 km of main expressway routes and 1,700 km of coastal roads are expected to be finished. Regarding Long Thanh International Airport, the component projects required for technical test flights will be completed.

In his address, PM Pham Minh Chinh said: “These projects, especially those nearing completion, will create new added value for land, open new development space, and make travel much more convenient for the people. At the same time, they will reduce travel time, transportation costs, fuel expenses, and input costs for production, thereby enhancing competitiveness.”

The Prime Minister also called for the swift preparation and approval of investment guidelines for key projects including Bac Kan-Cao Bang, Hoa Binh-Moc Chau (Son La), Cam Lo-Lao Bao, and Quang Ngai–Kon Tum, with completion deadlines set for December 31.

In addition, he directed the expansion of the Hoa Lac-Hoa Binh expressway and the development of the Gia Binh Airport connection road, so that groundbreaking can take place on May 19, 2026.
