Petrovietnam, Vietcombank sign a credit contract worth over 1 billion USD
(VOVWORLD) -The Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam) and the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank) on Tuesday signed a credit contract worth more than 1 billion USD to finance the Gas Development project and the Block B – O Mon gas pipeline project.

This is one of the largest credit contracts in the energy sector, dedicated to Vietnam’s largest gas project to date.
The signing highlights Vietcombank’s pioneering role and Petrovietnam’s active approach to mobilizing capital for key national projects.
Under the contract, Vietcombank will provide medium- and long-term credit to Petrovietnam for implementing the upstream and midstream components of the Block B - O Mon gas-to-power project chain.
At the signing ceremony, Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Nguyen Thi Hong said: "The signing demonstrates effective coordination among state management agencies, major economic groups, and the Vietnamese banking system in implementing the major policies set forth by the Politburo."
