Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Do Thanh Trung told the conference that socio-economy has recovered remarkably and recorded important results in many sectors.

Economic growth in the second quarter reached 6.93% over the same period last year, bringing the overall growth in the first half to 6.42%. The figure is higher than the government's highest scenario of 6%.

Mr. Trung said: “It’s necessary to review and drastically remove difficulties, immediately handle legal and administrative obstacles to ensure quality and progress to create a driving force for growth in the remaining months. We’ll continue to enhance the three growth drivers: investment, consumption, and export, focusing on policies to support businesses and boost domestic demand.”
