Strengthening bilateral ties with Poland, the Czech Republic, and Switzerland
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s official visits to Poland and the Czech Republic and his working activities in Switzerland, present a vital opportunity for Vietnam to enhance its cooperation with these nations, the broader Central and Eastern European region, and the European Union (EU), promote its role as a bridge linking Poland and the Czech Republic with ASEAN, and bolster coordination on regional and global challenges.
For Poland and the Czech Republic, the visit carries special significance as it coincides with the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and these nations. Both countries have been traditional friends of Vietnam, which have stood side by side with Vietnam, offering invaluable support for Vietnam’s struggle for independence and national reunification as well as its national development over the past decades. Notable collaborative projects such as the Vietnam–Poland Hospital in Nghe An province, the Vietnam–Poland High School in Hanoi, and the Vietnam–Czech Friendship Hospital reflect this enduring partnership.
