At the year-end conference of the Ministry of Information and Communications on December 29, Minister Nguyen Manh Hung said: “The resolution is crucial, as it reinforces the importance of mastering science and technology for Vietnam's digital transformation. General Secretary To Lam is head of the Central Steering Committee for the Development of Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation . Digital transformation has become the mission of the entire Party and people. Vietnam’s digital transformation is poised to enter a phase of breakthrough development and will play a pivotal role in the national rise.”
Strong political determination of the Party and State
Associate Professor Dr. Ho Tan Sang, former senior lecturer at the Academy of Politics Region 3, said the Politburo's establishment of a Central Steering Committee led by the General Secretary is a testament to the Party and State's strong political will. It reflects a determination to make science, technology, and innovation key drivers of progress.
"We’ve been talking a lot about the determination and responsibility of leadership. The General Secretary has motivated the entire political system and society to be actively engaged. This engagement, in turn, will generate further momentum and inspire those passionate about this field, empowering them to contribute meaningfully and amplify the overall impact," said Mr. Sang.
Vu Quang Hung, Head of the Management Board of the Da Nang High-Tech Park and Industrial Zones, praised the resolution's focus on public-private partnerships and allocation of resources for the development of strategic technology. He said the resolution will empower ministries, sectors, and localities to strengthen their capabilities in high-tech industries.
"The Management Board of the Da Nang High-Tech Park hopes that the resolution will deliver essential resources and support to enhance development and competitiveness in the global market. Key areas of focus include investment in infrastructure, research and development, and fostering collaboration with international partners to elevate production quality and efficiency," said Mr. Hung.
