The Coastguard Region 1 paid tribute to the Martyr’s Cemetery in Bach Long Vy, presented 200 Vietnamese flags, disseminated the Law on Coastguard, and information about prevention of illegal fishing. They also organized a zero-dong market offering various food and gifts to help disadvantaged people enjoy Tet.

Colonel Tran Van Hau said: "This is a program connecting army officers and soldiers and people living on the island. In addition to visiting and presenting gifts to social beneficiaries, we also paid attention to improving the life of officials and soldiers of the Coastguard Station in Bach Long Vi and help those on duty enjoy a Happy Tet."

Bach Long Vi island is located at the center of the Tonkin Gulf in Hai Phong city. It covers more than 2.3 square kilometers and has a strategic location important to safeguarding national sovereignty over seas and islands and national defense.
