The voting process strictly followed the regulations and procedures stipulated in the Law on the Election of Deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils for the 2026–2031 term.

Travelling aboard the Truong Sa 04 and Truong Sa 21 vessels of Squadron 1, Brigade 125 under the Naval Region 2, the officers and sailors of the two ships and members of the election team overcame numerous difficulties at sea to deliver ballots directly to voters, ensuring that all Vietnamese citizens working on the southern continental shelf could exercise their voting rights.

Colonel Le Hong Quang, Deputy Head of the Political Department of the Naval Region 2 and Head of the Early Voting Team, said: All the voters at sea, including officers and soldiers stationed at DK1 platforms and on duty ships, and fishermen, showed a sense of responsibility and democracy in studying and selecting candidates, and cast their ballots in accordance with regulations and formalities. 27 fishermen on four fishing vessels who were fishing at sea contacted us to take part in the early voting.”

Colonel Quang said that the high turnout of early voting at sea demonstrated voters’ awareness of their rights and responsibilities and their trust in the Party, the State and the National Assembly.
