During the joint patrol, the two sides executed the “Hello ASEAN” naval greeting protocol, exchanged information, practiced semaphore flag signaling, and observed the Code for Unplanned Encounters at Sea (CUES) used by Western Pacific navies.
Beyond implementing the Joint Patrol Regulations, officers and soldiers from Ship 265 and Ship 1144 actively propagated and mobilized fishermen from both countries to strictly comply with laws and regulations regarding seafood exploitation at sea (IUU), and to refrain from violating the sovereignty of other countries. In addition, the navies of both countries organized exchange activities and presented gifts at sea.
