As early morning sunlight reaches Hoang Lien mountain range in Lao Chai 1 village in Khun Ha Commune, Lai Chau Province, residents begin their daily work. Mong people clean the village path, repair fences, tidy their homes, and hang the national flag.

Cleaner roads and more orderly homes show how people in Khun Ha are actively preparing for the 14th National Party Congress. Villager Cu A Ly said, "We are repairing and cleaning our homes to prepare for the Party’s major event. We want the village to look better and attract more visitors, both from Vietnam and abroad."

After the administrative merger, the local government has quickly stabilized, earning support at the grassroots level. The most important result is public satisfaction. Do Trong Thi, Vice Chairman of the Khun Ha Commune People’s Committee, said that the Commune Party Congress Resolution set two main tasks: developing the economy through Lai Chau ginseng and high-quality tea, and developing community tourism while preserving local culture. "Ahead of the Party Congress, residents are encouraged to beautify their villages, create tourism products, and use QR codes to welcome visitors," he added.

From tea hills and ginseng gardens to clean, culturally rich villages, Khun Ha is changing day by day. The emulation movement in celebration of the 14th National Party Congress has reached every household and village, helping improve living standards, reduce poverty, and support sustainable development.

In the Central Highlands, local people are also looking to the Party Congress with practical hopes.

"We hope the Party will continue to facilitate our economic, cultural, and educational development, and build a central highland area that is prosperous and rich in knowledge," she added.

For residents in the border district of Song Ma, Son La Province, the 14th National Party Congress feels closely connected to their daily life. In recent years, Party policies have been implemented locally, bringing clear improvements.

Nguyen Van Do a Party member in Hung Ha Village, Chieng Khuong Commune, said, "We hope the Party will expand access to capital and loan programs, encourage business investment, and support deeper processing in agriculture, farming, livestock, and fisheries, to improve economic efficiency."

Ksor Phuoc, former member of the Party Central Committee and former Minister and Chairman of the Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs, stressed policies to better unlock the ethnic community’s potential.

Ksor said that ethnic issues are sensitive and can be exploited to undermine national unity. The best approach is to strengthen grassroots movements that protect national security, reinforce people-based national defense, and ensure security alongside balanced socio-economic development, he said, adding that "this is my key hope from the Party’s next term, especially for ethnic minority areas."

From remote and border areas, people are looking to the 14th National Party Congress with practical hopes for better roads, stronger agricultural markets, and improved living standards. The Congress is a major political event and a symbol of people’s hopes for a more prosperous and secure future.
