The working group works with localities under lock down to solve problems as they arise, set up field hospitals and quarantine facilities, and prevent any interruption of public services. The group is required to work, eat and stay in one and follow one route from their accommodation to the work site while coordinating the construction work.

Hoang Hai, deputy head of the working group, said: “During the construction of field hospitals and quarantine facilities, workers people at the work site must strictly abide by all local prevention and control measures and working conditions set by the investors and employers. Individuals entering or leaving a construction site must follow all preventive measures.”

The working group has closely monitored the construction material market in the southern region and the supply of services like electricity, water, and waste collection to ensure sufficient supplies for quarantine camps.

“We have closely watched the southern construction material market. So far there have been no signs of material shortages or price hikes in the southern region. In some provinces construction projects have been delayed, which has reduced construction material demand, but supplies and prices have been stable,” Hai said.

Technical infrastructure at quarantine sites and field hospitals has been rigorously ensured. They are expected to be put into operation soon.
