The exhibition titled "Golden will, iron heart" invites young people to connect with history and reflect on the enduring value of peace. Stories of patriotism and resilience are told through historical milestones of the Vietnam People’s Army’s 80-year development.
The exhibition is divided into three sections. The Historical Milestones section recounts the early history of the Vietnam People's Army, with its establishment on December 22, 1944.
The “Resilience and Steadfastness” section introduces revolutionary soldiers who were captured and imprisoned. A special highlight is the detailed portrayal of the lives, careers, and personal stories of nine distinguished, talented Generals who made great contributions to the national liberation struggle. Their stories are told by their family members and comrades.

The final section, Unfading Memories, presents documents and stories that showcase the generals’ connections to, devotion to, and feelings for their comrades, homeland, and family.
A visitor said: "Reading about the lives of these Generals fills me with admiration. They dedicated their entire lives to the country."
"I love history and hearing these stories deeply moved me. I feel immense gratitude to the Generals and our ancestors who sacrificed so much for us to enjoy the peace and happiness we have today," said a visitor.
The exhibition is open to the public until February 28, 2025, at the Hoa Lo Prison Relic in Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi.
