Colonel Nguyen Minh Khanh, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Coast Guard Region 3 Command, called the visit a valuable opportunity for the two sides to enhance understanding, tighten friendship, and boost cooperation.
It will also help improve law enforcement capacity and coordination in handling emergency situations at sea, he said.
During their stay, the Vietnamese guests will pay a courtesy visit to the Commander of Region 4 and the Rescue and Training Center of the Indian Coast Guard; engage in sports activities and cultural tours; and join training on search and rescue, fire and explosion prevention, and response to oil spills at sea.
