This important foreign defense activity will involve maritime law enforcement forces from China, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand. Among the attendants will be representatives of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).

Political Commissar of the Vietnam Coast Guard Bui Quoc Oai said affirmed the solidarity spirit in search, rescue, and response to non-traditional challenges at sea, as well as the determination to join hands and contribute to a sea of peace, cooperation, friendship, and co-development.

"The Vietnam Coast Guard will highlight the theme "Unity is strength" and convey the message that ensuring security and safety, preserving a peaceful and stable maritime environment is the shared responsibility of all nations. The law enforcement forces are the core forces and only when united can we create the strength to win," Oai said.
