During Prime Minister Chinh’s visit to China, the two sides will discuss ways to concretize the perception that their leaders shared late last year in order to boost bilateral cooperation in all areas, particularly in economy, trade and investment.

Dong Yu, Executive Vice President of the China Development and Planning Research Institute of Tsinghua University, said that Vietnam attaches great importance to the development of a green economy, and a digital economy while China has also accelerated the neutralization of carbon in recent years.

"This shows that the two countries have a great potential for further cooperation. In particular, Vietnam is strongly developing e-commerce, in which while China has a solid foundation. Vietnam is a country with a population of 100 million people. Many Chinese companies are looking for opportunities in the Vietnamese market. The two countries will find more opportunities through increased economic and trade cooperation," said Dong.

During the visit, the leaders of the two countries will discuss ways to better manage differences, maintain a peaceful, stable environment at sea, and strengthen coordination and mutual support at multilateral forums to deepen bilateral ties for peace, stability, and development in the region and the world.

Boosting Vietnam-WEF cooperation

"Asia, especially China, India and ASEAN, including Vietnam, have in recent years opened up, maintained stable growth, and become a driving force for the economic recovery and development in the region and the world, and at the same time played the central role in global trade, investment, and supply chains," said Ambassador Mai.
