10,000 gift packages given to needy workers in HCM City
(VOVWORLD) - Ten thousand gift packages containing personal necessities, worth approximately 230,000 USD, were given to needy workers in processing and industrial parks in Ho Chi Minh City on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The program was co-organized by the City’s Confederation of Labor, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, and the Ministry of Defense for COVID-19 prevention and control in HCM City and other southern localities.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Tran Thanh Nam said he hopes the gifts will improve workers’ lives. He urged people to stay where they are to help control the epidemic.
On Wednesday, Ho Chi Minh City’s People's Council and Confederation of Labor have given gifts to disadvantaged workers and workers affected by the COVID-19 epidemic in District 8 and Cu Chi district.
