Lieutenant Gen. Nguyen Van Duc spoke Thursday in Hanoi at a seminar titled “The Political and Spiritual Power of the 1945 August Revolution-Its Significance to Building and Safeguarding the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the New Era.” The event was organized by the Political Officer Training School, in coordination with the Department of Propaganda and Training and the People’s Army newspaper.

During the seminar, participants analyzed the components that formed the political and spiritual strength of the August Revolution and assessed its achievements and lessons learned for the current and future process of national construction and defense.

Major General, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Sau, Deputy Director of the Institute of Military Strategy and History of Vietnam, said: "The August Revolution was a great revolution and a prime example of political and spiritual strength. Over nearly eight decades, the political and spiritual power of the 1945 Revolution has been constantly continued and promoted both theoretically and practically, particularly in military building and national defense efforts."

Deep understanding of the August Revolution’s political and spiritual strength reinforces faith and determination to continue building a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern Vietnam People’s Army in the new era.

Other presentations at the seminar also highlighted how the success of the August Revolution continues to resonate and inspire national pride and the aspiration to rise, especially among the younger generations. This legacy forms a solid foundation for national development and defense, aiming for comprehensive growth and breakthroughs, enabling Vietnam to stand on a par with the world's leading nations in the new era.
