Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong

(VOVworld) – Vietnamese Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong on Monday in Hanoi received a delegation of the Communist Party of Japan led by Shii Kazuo, Chairman of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Japan. Trong spoke highly of exchange activities between the two Parties, including theoretical seminars and discussions, which he said is a fruitful and practical model of cooperation in the new situation and helps clarify theoretical issues on socialism and the path to socialism. Both leaders agreed on the need to boost multi-faceted cooperation between the two Parties for the benefits of the two peoples, for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and in the world at large.

Earlier the same day, Le Hong Anh, Politburo member and permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat, held talks with the Japanese guest. Both sides agreed to increase exchanges and contacts between senior leaders of the Parties as well as collaboration in multilateral forums. 

The delegation of the Communist Party of Japan also had a working session with the Theoretical Council of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
