(VOVWORLD) - All four Vietnamese students won medals including 2 goldat the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) 2024 in Egypt, the Ministry of Education and Training said on Friday.

The contestants are from the High School for Gifted Students of the University of Science in Hanoi. The outstanding performance of the team put them among the top four countries, with the United States, Japan, and Poland.
In 2023, the Vietnam IOI Team finished among the top 9 countries by winning 1 gold, 2 silver, and 1 bronze.
The 36th IOI, which wrapped up in Egypt on Friday, drew more than 350 contestants from 91 countries and territories worldwide.
