In the resistance war for national liberation, Ba Ria-Vung Tau was an important base with many major historical sites. The victory of the Binh Gia campaign provided important conditions to defeat the enemy's strategies, leading to the 1975 Spring General Offensive and Uprising with the historic victory of the Ho Chi Minh Campaign.

Studying and creatively applying valuable lessons from the Binh Gia Victory has important values for the Party and national revolutionary cause.

“The 60th anniversary of the heroic Binh Gia Victory has reviewed valuable lessons on the art of people's war, people's support, and the strength of great national unity which will create more motivation and strength for Ba Ria-Vung Tau province and the whole country in the new stage of development. We appreciate the value of peace and are determined to realize the aspiration of developing a prosperous country and happy people, in the spirit of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress to advance the country firmly to a new rising era  of power and prosperity,” said Mr. Chinh.

He expressed his belief that the Party Committee, authorities, armed forces, and people of Ba Ria-Vung Tau will continue to uphold their proud revolutionary tradition and achievements to make breakthroughs and robust development, thus developing the province into a comprehensively developed locality, becoming one of the important development driving forces, and a bright spot in socio-economic development in the Southeast region and the country.

Earlier the same day, the PM and delegates offered flowers and paid tribute to heroic martyrs at the Binh Gia victory monument.
