(VOVWORLD) - More than 250 major projects are scheduled for groundbreaking or inauguration at a ceremony on August 19, with the main venue at the National Exhibition and Fair Centre in Dong Anh commune, Hanoi, and 80 livestreamed sites at the respective project locations.

At a government meeting on Tuesday to review preparations for these events as part of celebrations for the 80th anniversary of National Day, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh commended the coordination among relevant agencies, saying the events mark a national milestone and inspire ambition, dedication, and momentum for Vietnam’s development.
The total investment for these projects, undertaken by ministries, sectors, localities, and major corporations, is estimated at over 55 billion USD from state and other funding sources.
