(VOVworld) – Vietnamese embassies in Malaysia, South Africa, and Egypt yesterday held ASEAN flag-hoisting ceremonies to mark the 45^th founding anniversary of ASEAN and Vietnam’s 17^th year of membership. In the celebration in South Africa, Ambassador Nguyen Manh Hung reviewed ASEAN’s 45-year history of construction and development. He said that the ceremony is not only to mark ASEAN Day but also to reiterate ASEAN as a peaceful, unified, and active bloc and raise public awareness on ASEAN.
