Quang Ninh gains breakthroughs in culture and tourism in 2025
(VOVWORLD) - Quang Ninh’s culture, sports and tourism sector recorded a strong breakthrough in 2025, laying a solid foundation for the next phase of development.

This year marked a historic milestone as the Yen Tu – Vinh Nghiem – Con Son, Kiep Bac Complex of Monuments and Landscapes was recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage site. The recognition has elevated Quang Ninh’s position on the global heritage map and opened up new development opportunities for cultural industries.
Quang Ninh welcomed 21.28 million visitors during the year, 6% above target, including 4.5 million foreigners. Total tourism revenue is estimated at 2.2 billion USD, up 22%, driven by the expansion of international air routes to Van Don and the arrival of large cruise ships in Ha Long.
In addition, cultural activities continued to be promoted through a wide range of large-scale artistic programs and festivals, which have become effective products to stimulate tourism demand.
Quang Ninh aims to attract more than 22 million visitors and generate 2.5 billion USD in revenue next year, with a focus on developing green tourism, smart tourism, and the heritage economy.
