(VOVWORLD) - Vietnamese children nationwide are enjoying various activities to celebrate the 2025 Mid-Autumn Festival.

On Saturday evening, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh attended the “Mid-Autumn Festival – Lanterns Light Up Dreams” with over 1,500 children and local residents in Thai Nguyen province. The event was connected to other locations in Lao Cai, Ha Tinh, Gia Lai, Tay Ninh, An Giang, Lạng Son, Son La, Ninh Binh, Da Nang, Dong Nai, Can Tho, Dien Bien, and Ca Mau.
In Thai Nguyen province, the children engaged in festive activities such as performances, lion dance, traditional folk games, and moon feasts. The organizers presented hundreds of Mid-Autumn gifts to disadvantaged children.

In Da Nang City, many organizations and associations have organized events for children, especially those in difficult circumstances, children with disabilities, and ethnic minority children in mountain areas. At the “Full-Moon Night Festival” in Song Kon commune, the organizers gave 400 gifts to ethnic Co Tu children of disadvantaged families.
In Phuoc Chanh commune, the Da Nang Youth Union and the city’s Charity and Child Protection Association co-organized the “Lanterns Light Up Dreams” program, giving presents to ethnic minority children.
Da Nang has gifted 4,000 disadvantaged children, Agent Orange victims, and children of poor workers.

Also on Saturday evening, the officers and soldiers of Brigade 146, Naval Region 4 and the authority of Truong Sa special zone organized the Mid-Autumn Festival for children on Truong Sa, Song Tu Tay, Sinh Ton, and Da Tay island.

In Ho Chi Minh city, the city’s Border Guard Command, the coastal localities, and philanthropists co-organized the “Full-Moon Festival – Coastal Border” program for children in coastal border areas. The children received mooncakes, lanterns, candies, and school supplies.

In Long Chu border commune, Tay Ninh province, over 1,600 children living in border areas received gifts and enjoyed the the Mid-Autumn Festival, featuring lion dances, and lantern parades.
