(VOVworld) - A delegation from the Vietnamese Government’s Committee for Religious Affairs, led by Deputy Head Nguyen Thanh Xuan, paid a visit to Laos this week.

The delegation held talks yesterday with their counterparts from the Lao Front for National Construction’s Central Committee headed by Vice Chairman Kenta Kongbounmi. The two sides briefed each other on the religious situation and reviewed bilateral cooperation since 2007. They agreed to promote exchanges and cooperation to promptly complete a new cooperation agreement to submit to the Governments of the two countries. They also made some forecasts of future religious trends to facilitate policies suitable to the new situation.
