Interior Ministry spokeswoman Lucie Novakova says that such measures would be in place at all 20 crossings.
The Ministry said if neighboring Austria closes its border, the Czechs would react with further security measures, including canceling some international trains.
Earlier, the Czech Interior Ministry said the Czech Republic would not allow free border crossing if Austria did the same. But it excluded the possibility that the Czech’s would resume full control in the border area.
